Buyer beware, I was defrauded out of 700 dollars in sales tax and 699 in doc fees. Long story short, I negotiated a price on a vehicle for 10k all in. I declined the extended warranty and told them I would register the vehicle myself; 10k flat. Josue, the sales man negotiated the deal and told me he would call me when the title was available. A week or two later I received a text saying the title is available. After picking up the title, a week after, I went to register the vehicle and found out I couldn’t because there wasn’t a stamp on the title. I went back to the dealer next morning and was basically told, I, the buyer, cannot register the vehicle since it was out of state and they need to collect my sales tax. I explained the sales tax was part of the all in deal. Joshua, my salesman, lied in front his manager and said, I gave you 30 days to pay the taxes. I responded saying why would I need an extra 30 days to pay taxes? We went to the bank together and I gave you a cashiers check. Never did I request 30 days to pay for taxes, why would I waste my time if I was already at the bank with you? He then said the 10k was just the price of the vehicle which isn’t true because the original offer was 9500k before any negotiation and/or fees were added(the price is still online on multiple websites). He ammitently confirmed he made a mistake when his manager wasn’t present. That said, the manager said there’s nothing you could do now but pay for the taxes(which was part of the 10k I paid all in for the vehicle). After paying taxes, the stamp was added to the title and I was told to leave the title and they would register and get the plates for me Monday. Low and behold I return on Monday and no plates were available. Again I was told I have to register the vehicle even though I was told they were going to and did not follow through on their end. On my contract it says the “Doc fee” must be itemized which it isn’t yet I paid 699$ to have incomplete documents every time I returned? Another manager came out and stated my situation with the employees prior was “hearsay.” To which I responded saying “ you think I want to come back here four times?” If everything was done the right way the first time I wouldn’t need to. These people pass bad information to their customers hoping people won’t catch on. Each time I returned, after questioning them about their incorrect info, they avoided me and passed the buck onto someone else knowing they screwed me over. Kudos to the “3rd” manager that wanted to do right by offering to register my vehicle but at that point I had lost all trust in their business after having to repeatedly return for no fault of my own. I’m going to ask that you please do not purchases here. I hope that all of their in-house paperwork for previous customers is correct since I’m planning on filing a report to the mvc, ftc and bbb.
